GETTING USED TO

Riding with the Tyre Support System is slightly different to the other systems. It takes an hour or two to get familiar with it.  The basic difference is that you need to ride with even more weight on the outside or lower footpeg, keeping the bike more upright to get the best out of it. Once you get used to it, you can start to fully enjoy all of the benefits.

TUBE vs. MOUSSE INSIDE THE TYRE SUPPORT

The Mousse for the Tyre Support was developed for racers, who want a 100% puncture-proof system. The traction is instant as with the tube,  and there is no need to ‘run-in’ the mousse or modify it. The Mousse isn’t made from the softest compound so its life-span is increased. The Tyre Support System with the tube weighs 1550g, and with mousse 1850g.

LUBE

The Lube keeps the temperature of the tube or mousse down, which increases their life-span. When using a Tube, another very important job that the lube does is prevent the tube from spinning on the rim, thus prevents the valve stem from ripping off of the tube. Additionally it lowers the chance of pinch-flats. The lube is ONLY needed between the Tyre Support and the tube or mousse – depending which combo you are using. The Outer surface of the Tyre Support does not need to be lubed.

TYRE CHOICE

The Tyre Support System fits all enduro tyres that are suitable for a 2.15-18″ rim. It works best with thicker carcass tyres

RAISING THE FORKS

Tyre Support System lowers the back-end of the bike due to the tyre being flatter. If you are feeling that the bike isn’t turning as sharp anymore or if you feel that the bike is leaned back to much on the uphills, try raising the forks in the triple clamps to lower the front-end of the bike as well.

TWO RIM-LOCKS

Using two Rim-locks is a safety measure in case you have the misfortune and have to ride with a punctured tube inside the Tyre Support. The Tyre Support plus the Tube forms quite a bit of material inside the tyre, so in the case that you do get a puncture you can ride further with limited performance for the faster sections. Having two Rim-locks opposite each other prevents the tyre coming off the rim.

FAST TRACK

The Tyre Support System wasn’t initially developed for MX tracks or other fast types of track. Nevertheless, if the conditions are extremely muddy and slick, it can give you the advantage you need.

SYSTEM FOR FRONT TYRE

The Tyre Support hasn’t been designed for the front tyre as it wouldn’t give you any significant benefit. Our crew members are using regular mousses.
